Working under the creative direction of @fritzport

Working under the creative direction of @fritzporterchs - Sarah-Hamllin gave us some amazing direction and left the design, engineering, blacksmithing, and installation up to us. Led by @blakewelds , he and @shelb_elle hand-made these brass birds based on the scale model made by @beccabarnet .

Our design brief: to bring nature inside in a way that highlighted the interior design; specifically, to invoke the movement and shapes made by flocks of gulls chasing shrimping boats. Blake’s ability to achieve this sweeping motion with graceful, airy shapes out of 3/16” thick brass is just otherworldly!
