Brass Birds

Hand-forged in brass, this sculptural installation evokes the elegant arcs of seagulls trailing shrimp boats—a poetic tribute to Charleston’s coastal legacy. Commissioned by Sarah-Hamlin Hastings of Fritz Porter, the piece rises 30 feet and brings movement, light, and artistry to a private residence. Set against a custom plaster backdrop, it transforms the space into a serene yet striking homage to nature in motion.
